What is rubin carter football?

Rubin Carter was an American football player who played professionally in the 1960s and 1970s. He played as a middle linebacker and was known for his fierce tackling and hard-hitting style.

Carter began his football career at Passaic High School in New Jersey, where he was a star player and led the team to a state championship in 1954. He went on to play college football at several institutions, including Garden City Community College in Kansas and the University of Nebraska.

After college, Carter was signed by the Dallas Cowboys in 1960 and played for the team for four seasons. He later played for the Pittsburgh Steelers before retiring from professional football in 1968.

Despite his success on the football field, Carter is perhaps best known for his wrongful conviction for a triple murder in 1966. He was sentenced to life in prison, but his conviction was eventually overturned in 1985 after years of appeals and public advocacy.

Carter's life and career were the subject of the 1999 film "The Hurricane," starring Denzel Washington. Carter passed away in 2014 at the age of 76.
